“KATT WILLIAMS: WOKE FOKE” REVIEW

Directed by Troy Miller. A runtime of one hour. Streaming on Netflix with a TV-MA rating.

Katt Williams is back. After his explosive interview with Shannon Sharpe, this is his first special since then. A vet in the game of stand-up comedy and comedy in general. With numerous stand-up specials and Netflix housing a lot of them, You get Katt in his true element.

Katt talks about being an exposed undercover ally because of his Shannon-shaped interview, touching on reparations and the exorbitant amount of funds America is sending Ukraine to fight Russia.

Nothing is off the table in this special. It was filmed in Inglewood, California. Katt shows love to his fans in California and all over. From setting up jokes only like Katt Williams would to talking about the Illuminati and even taking aim at certain celebrities in his latest Netflix special.

“Katt Williams: Woke Foke was a little disappointing. Katt is naturally funny. It doesn’t take much to make someone laugh. He’s naturally gifted that way. But after the interview that broke records and set the tone for the rest of the year, this was a little deflating.

Katt talks about real issues similar to Dave Chappelle and intertwines that into a joke. Some of the content wasn’t as funny as previous stand-ups. I was just looking for him to knock this out of the park. For someone already famous who has been doing this for a while. He probably had more eyeballs glued to this special than he ever has.

Don’t get it twisted, though. It’s not bad, and he’s still him. It just wasn’t his best work, in my opinion. It’s still leaps and bounds better than certain stand-ups I’ve seen in recent memory. I just wanted a nuke and got a bazooka instead. I give this special three mor fires 🔥🔥🔥.
