“TRIGGER WARNING” REVIEW

Directed by Mouly Surya. A runtime of one hour and forty-six minutes. Streaming on Netflix with a TV-MA rating.

“Parker,” played by Jessica Alba, and her partner “Spider,” played by Tone Bell, are CIA operatives. After completing a mission, they get sent home for some much-needed R and R.
“Parker” is a daddie girl. Her father, “Harry,” played by Alejandro De Hoyos, means the world to her. She was devastated to learn her father died of an apparent accidental death, possibly suicide.

That’s not “Harry,”  and “Parker” knows it. She gets the help of family friends “Mike,” played by Gabriel Basso, and “Georgia,” played by Stephanie Jones. She even asks the help of a former lover in “Jesse,” played by Mark Webber. He’s the sheriff now.

“Parker” is desperate; she would even ask “Jesse’s” father, “Ezekiel,” played by Anthony Michael Hall, for help if it meant getting answers. “Ezekiel” never truly liked her.”

After noticing something suspicious in her small town, All “Parker” knows is that the town’s screw-up “Elvis,” played by Jake Weary, has to be connected in some way. “Parker” will use her expertise and allies to figure out how her father died. Along with what’s going on in this town, In this action-packed thriller.

“Trigger Warning” had hardcore action, which I loved. Jessica Alba is back to her roots of action. I first started watching Jessica Alba many moons ago when she did her debut show called “Dark Angel.” Jessica was one of my first crushes.

The plot was okay, and the script was decent. But that’s not the purpose of this film. It’s a true action film, and that’s what you got. It hit hard and was a fun ride. I didn’t know what to expect. I was just hoping it wasn’t like Jennifer Lopez’s recent attempts at action films, respectfully.

Get ready for Jessica Alba to get into her “John Wick” bag a little. The storyline might be a little lackluster, but those fight scenes make up for it. I give this film four mor fires 🔥🔥🔥🔥.
